hi just after some help on what type of airbox everybody uses ive seen the UMP superfilter, just wonderin what other varietys there are, our is it more comon to make your own alininium box with a pod filter or something similar thanks tom
Sorry to hijack this thread but it is good to see Anthony ( Toomahawkracefab ) posting on here. For those of you who don't no him he is heavely into the 4wd fab market and is breaking into the buggy scene. l have seen photos of the new front end he has done on Owen Andersons Pro buggy and he is working on Justin Andersons new A/arm pro buggy. If you are in Melbourne you have a new alternitive for all your mods.
I run a donaldson off an acco truck in my gen 3, nice and cheap. Have a walk around a truck wrecking yard and see whats around. Some of the smaller jap trucks have very compact air cleaners that should come cheap.
i run two donaldson filters on mine ( one on each throttle body ), got them brand new for about $100 each with inner and outer filters from the local tractor shop, there 4 inch in and 3.5 inch out and work great, there is photos of them on the build up page
