Just wondering what everyone thinks of the new series. At the moment I'm still leaning towards the pommy one, hope it gets better. Last night they mentioned those horrible cars that fit a 44 gallon drum in the boot of & low & behold I thought I saw a dusteater in the audience, can someone verify?
The show is confused it's not quite different enough from the original or it's not the same, if you catch my drift.
Also apart from the awesome Ford GT the other features have been a bit weak. Shouldn't they have had both the V8 FPV and the turbo in the test? Ford have given buyers the option they both are pitched and the Crummy.
Yeah that was me. Well spotted 260. I was lucky enough to get a ticket to the taping of episode 2. After seeing both ep1 and ep2 they are definitely getting better. I hope the show will evolve to be much slicker. As far as the 44gal drum segment goes I was almost jumping out of my skin but then realised they were just being silly. You've got to lighten up. Its entertainment not a serious car show. Remember this is a motoring show for the masses and isnt pitched at the car nut. Would have loved to see Warren and Steve tooling around Parramatta Rd in the Smart Hearse. Yes it isnt as good as the UK show but they have been doing it for a while.
As soon as Charlie Cox realises he is not Jeremy Clarkson and Steve realises he is not Hammond and they start to be themselves - the show will get better.
