The boy's from Dog's Life Racing will be there for a look hopefully for the last time as we will be competing next year. Who else is going we would like to catch up with forum members so we can put faces to names. Yes Nev we no you are going and we will be annoying you and the rest of Team Taylor over the weekend and it's a pity that the stadium race is so close as l would have liked to have a look at Chris's truck.
l see that Nev Taylor is winning the Tri Series well done to team Taylor which also has the top Nav spot also. The only problem with looking at the points table is you can't see who has nominated Gundi as thier last point scoring round to see if he can be overtaken. Nev l thought you would have at least nominated your home round as one of your three.
46 entries as of last Tuesday. I would expect a few more since. All the usual suspects, except the WA contingent. Interesting entry is the new Matt Coleman Pro Buggy. Good to see guys like Brett Taylor and Andrew Mowles chasing the Tri-Series and making the big trip to Qld. I haven't got a list i can post here though.
The Tri-Series pointscore has to be amended, that should happen on Monday, but it is very close with theoritically up to 17 people still capable of winning it outright, but realistically about 8 guys still in the running. Currently the equal leaders are James Madden and Peter Stevenson on 30 points, but i think both have completed their 3 nominated Rounds. Brett Taylor is on 28 points and Cameron McClelland on 27 and both will be doing Gundy as their 3rd Round, so are probably the 2 guys in the best position to win the Series. Travis Robinson is on 26 but won't be at Gundy. Chris Western is on 23 whilst Nev is on 22 and Gundy will be his 3rd Round.
Bad news from Gundy this morning. Clerk of Course Craig Porter and Event Secretary Rod Sams were involved in a car accident last night on the way out from Brisbane to Gundy. Both are shook up a bit and presently in Toowoomba Hospital. I don't know the extent of their injuries at this stage, but they obviously will not be able to fulfill their roles over the weekend. Some changes will be necessary therefore in the key officials for the event which will be advised to competitors at scrutiny tonight.
I am just about to leave Brissy now to drive out and will try and give a bit of a report for you guys later tonight.

Scrutineering last night was sensational, with the presentation of the cars and crews really getting very professional now. In particular Runamuk Racing, Brad Prout, Brad Gallard and the Taylors Rockstar team all having posters, displays, etc. What had everyone buzzing though was the new Matt Coleman Alpha Pro Class vehicle. It's an amazing piece of craftmanship and design. Now if it goes as fast as it looks??? The weather is fine in Gundy this morning and all bodes well for a great days competition. Latest news on Craig and Rod is that Craig is now home in Brissy, a bit black and blue, but no major injuries. Rod has a fractured arm and i think also some broken ribs. From all accounts it was a pretty big accident and they may have been fortunate to get away with just those injuries. Well i am about to head out to the track and will try and summarise when i get back tonight. You can listen in though at www.offroadracing.com.au for live audio from Rusty Bell and running commentary from Murray and Julie.
Congrats to Shannon and Ian Rentsch on winning the event and AORC. Sounds like a very exciting finish to the championship with Fellows brake issues and Prouts engine drama.
Got back from Gundy this morning had a great time it was worth going just to see the class 4 of Brad Gallard in action on zoo road it was bloody awesome to watch also if you get a chance to have a look at Matt Colemans Alpha do it, it would have to be the best built car i have ever seen it is just a work of art.
l have to give props to Cameron McClelland his was an awsome drive all weekend. He won the class 2 title and all this with a broken torsion housing. He had no rear suspension but his times never dropped all day.
I would love to see Cameron in one of the Pro class cars, he is a fantastic driver. When you get the chance to stand in a lot of different areas on tracks like I do, you get to see how a lot of people drive and how good they really are, and there are very few around in any class that come close to the way Cameron drives.
Gundy had a few incidents on the Recon of the long track l am sure T.D. could fill us in on the details but do other rounds have accidents between buggies and street cars. l saw one badly rearended F Truck
