hi there can anyone help me with old race pics of my bme hornet built in 1986 first owner was graeme mantold , then hugh austin , then bruce chapman , old eagle boys pizza racing car? car 235? any help would be great cheers pete

Its your lucky day. My dad use to do the prep and nav in that old hornet. I even had my first race in it at kempsey with chappo. we wondered were it went to. I always thought it was Magila's car when ever i saw it. Good to know its still bashing about. I would have a couple hundred photo at my parents house and ill be up there at xmas, so ill scan some of the best prints and foward them on to you.
Magila now my brothers and i can stop thinking that your cars was the one. Peteskillarpaint that car went quite well back in the day. i remember the time i did kempsey with chappo he we from dead last 121st to 4th outright only to have the floor fall off with 2 laps to go. He did win Warialda in that car in about 98 i think. the photo's i have are from Kempsey, Warialda, griffith and inglewood.
yes the old girl is still going , its a bit different since back then, it has a sr20, beard seats bigger rollcage area ,kusters, ausshocks , hinged roof ,power steer, and nice custom paintwork i will put some pics up next the cars been going well , i got 3rd in class and 12 out right at sedan , the last race i did i was running 10 outright and 3rd in class but i killed her just going to hard , bent seering arm snaped gearbox mount , bent the front beam , snaped torsion bar , so it in need of a big rebuil before next season ah but thats racing look foward to getting the old pics its a nice looking car

I never would have picked it as the same car it looks heaps different now days. looks like you have a fair off season ahead of you, got to love owning a buggy hey...
yeh buggys r great , my class 5 was much more user freindly the old hornet will look much different next season , longer wider , new paint? if theres time
