well i would like peoples feed back on if you would mind the adverts that may or may not come to this forum to be layout like this. the plan is that the company will have a banner as per the one shown which links to there website
jones you should see the banner that is at the top of the main page at the bottom of the main also with a forum link if not i will look into it .
garry i can see everything fine on my computer here and my work computer which only has a 10" screen. it's only an example of the layout. i may have to change the sizing of the banners but i want to know what people think.
Dosen't fit on my screen, nor the one at work, Both however do show the banner down the bottom. As far as thinking........ I gave that up when I was married. Well I think I did, I will ask her and check.

I had the same problem as Wolf & 936 but since you changed to the smaller logo it has fix it. Are you thinking of removing the off road rush banner when their sponsorship finishes & putting the new sponsors banner at the bottom? What if there is more than 1 sponser will there be 2 or 3 banners? Another option that would allow more companies to sponsor the forum would be, on the forum main page insted of a banner at the bottom you might be able to attract more sponsers as follows...

If you click on SYDNEY OFF ROAD RACING ASSOCIATION above the individual threads there could be a scrolling banner with the user names of members who have donated money to the forum to keep it alive but don't have a business they want to promote
If you click on EVENTS above the individual threads there could be a banner with the sponsor's logo that might link to their website. If 2 companies want to sponsor EVENTS split the banner size in half & put their logos on either one.
Same for TECH, CLASSIFIED'S, VIDEO, FAQ's and so on.
A lot of people are saying they will pay $100 a year for their logo to be on the site and this may be a way of doing it and any extra money earned by this could go to SORRA and also pay for the web masters yearly membership fee's as a THANK YOU for his time and effort looking after the site.
Not sure if its possible or what other members would want, Just my thoughts, sorry William you asked for them. The sponsor name's I used were for examples only not to guilt anyone into it.
austin you are have hit one of the ideas on the head. i think will go with the way i have the site set up now just need a few people feed back on if they would be happy with the size of the logos i can add a bigger logo but not to sponsor a forum it would be on it's own banner of the page as per sorra banner in the forums not the one at the top.
the page is best view at 1028 x 768 resolution it just won't work on 800 x 600 i have tryed to make it work but the logo will be to small and i want the sponsor to be seen. i want people feed back in the next week or so as i will setup a sponsorship link with payment details on boxing day.
i will post all the details on the other post but the sponsorship of all forums except the tipping compwill be up for grabs.
Off Road Promotions will put our hands up for general discussion and or video. (will pay two fees if need be) we will go with what ever format you think will work best. We will be away at fraser island on boxing day so we can either transfer money before we go or when we get back just let me know. JUST DONT FORGET ABOUT US!!!!!!!!!!!

GETTING OFFROAD RACING THE RECOGNITION IT DESERVES
ok well since every one seem keen i don't think anyones going to wait till boxing day so i will take request now as $100 seem to be the going number i figure this will be the cost for a forum sponsor of tech, video, build up, events , under the bonnet , (i have to hold the classifieds as the rush may want to responsor)
as for the sydney offroad racing asso general forum and the banner space the rush have at the top of the page i wish to do these as a package for some one who wishes to offer similar package to the what the rush. this year they have payed for the advert to be there which has covered the cost of the sorra web site and given a ride day for the people who have worked at the working bees and races. if you would like to offer something up just pm me.
i will also offer banner spaces at the bottom of the page for the sum of $50 as i under stand these arnt as good as forums but still a good web presents these will link to your site or i can give you a read only forum to post you stuff up

I'm like jones and friz dont do much/nothing for offroad but want to help out im up for one maybe buildup lol that's what mine is doing er collecting dust

thank you guy for all the support still a few sections to go yet and the major sponsor but with the response i'm getting there should be no worries about keeping the site sorra based and the only change will be a few banners.
Hey William, sounds like sponsorship of the forum is going well & it's great news that the site will still be SORRA based. If you have trouble attracting a major sponsor for the banner & general discussion section perhaps you could approach companies such as Bridgestone for a $??? fee for the banner & a set a tyre's for the end of year prize or Super Cheap for a $??? fee & a gift voucher for the end of year prize etc...
