934 cv bolt size

Got my 934 cvs out the packet and went to fit them up to work out driveshaft angles so i can finish my shock mounts. O sh@* they dont fit, bolt holes on joint smaller than drive flange on my trans!! I know just drill out the Cv to suit but the Cv will be hardened? I just thought it was a bit strange, or is it that Mendeolas use a bigger bolt?

the americans use 1/2 inch bolts and standard it would be 13mm thats why albins flanges have both metric and imperial on their flanges(clever aussie engineering) if you have a good drill bit and drill press on slow speed with lubricant should not be a problem(if a sparky can do it )

Thanks Nev, makes sense the americans wouldnt get the whole metricconfuse.gif thing. Funny though as McKenzies sold me the joints, they do have that made in Germany look about them.Wont be a drama to drill them but was interested to know what was the go. Bought the moly cages, they have a very different shape ball race/hole obviously for greater angles.
