I'm currently running BTR's but am curious as to the performance of the Staun beadlock. On paper they should not only produce a lock on both beads, but also produce a dual rate spring rate from the tyre.
I've got a couple of mates that have been using the staun internal locks for years in outback challenge type events and they love them. Locking both beads is great and from what i have seen give very little trouble, they dont do the speeds our cars do but still get a very hard time and at very low tyre pressures. Not sure on cost. You can buy the Btrs without beadlocks a bit cheaper, so could then get the stauns for a similar all up cost.
The BTR's limit me to about 15psi. I was hoping to run the Staun's considerably lower than that to attempt and gain more grip. Also the two rates of pressure interests me from a rising rate spring action (tyre is often ignored in offroad racing as a spring).
