If you are selling Mendeola gearboxes have you got someone to service them?
There is a buggy for sale in America that I am dreaming about but I am wondering how useful the Mendeola S5 in it is if I can't get it serviced/fixed in Oz.
l Just thought l might give you some prices. These Gearboxes are built for 1 purpose only OFFROAD and are not a modified box which in most cases cost the same. New MD4- From $9000.00 Aus + Tramsport New MD4-2D - From $10,400.00 Aus+ Transport New MD5- From $12700.00 Aus + Transport New Sequential 5 Speeds - From $15,500 Aus + Transport New 6 speed sequential before the end of the year. 2nd hand gearboxes priced per item If gearsets have to be changed ect to suit your car it will vary the price. We are though trying with the factory to keep the cost down on 2nd hand boxes but the quality will still be there. Our Technicans will be factory trained and the manager for Mendeola international will be at a national round this year and will have a Q & A session with whoever is interested.

Thought i would put my two cents worth in. I have a s5 mendeola which i bought second hand out of NZ, which i havnt used as my mk 5 isnt finished yet. However i did do a bit of research on it prior to parting with my cash, they have a great rep in the US and the tech people are realy helpful, i think most of the gears are made by Albins and sold through weddle. I have kept an eye on Race Dezert and rarely see any queries on anything Mendeola and if there is the Mendeola people seem to sort it out quickly. To look at the S5S seems about the same size as an AGB10. I will get mine serviced soon but hope theres not too much wrong with it having only done half a short course season.

Thanks mate all we are trying to do is offer an alternative. We have all the special tools from Mendeola to do all the all preps and rebuilds and our guy is factory trained with back-up from M.I. as well.
We have two other new cars in our club both running S5 Mendeolas. Cant understand why its taken so long for them to take off here, biggest selling brand in the US and widely used in NZ. Hell the kiwis areahead of us. Plus that fill a huge gap in the market price wise. Will give you a call at service time.

Just wanted to clear up some inconsistancies in this post. Mendeola is not widely used in NZ. In fact there were two Mendeolas in NZ that I'm aware of. A majority of high HP cars in NZ run Albins. I swapped out my Fortin for an AGB10 at the beginning of this season. One of the Mendi's, the one now in Aus mentioned above, couldn't be held together in a 2 ltr turbo honda, it had consistant failures and the owner didn't have much good to say about the box on pulling it to bits. He's now running an AGB10 and hasn't had a single issue. I do however think he was running far too much HP through that box. Especially as it was early in the Mendeola S5 series.

What can l say to this post. Maby look at the Erceg car and the 6lt V8 power he is running through it with no problems yet. Mr. Mist is right to post this here to clarify that people do have problems but if you do have problems you do need the right gear to do the rebuilds/repairs such as the correct jigs to line the gearbox internals up so you don't have future problems. Also the gearboxes have come a long way in the last couple of years so it might have been teething problems with the new design.
Kieran Kelly has the sister car to Lukes and had couple of minor teething problems, but its going well now. both cars 6litre chevs. Lukes very happy with his. As for mine too early to tell, paid the same price as i had been quoted to build a reno. Fingers crossed. Have searched the US sites for info on the S5 and havnt seen much sadness. I think Mendeola have a great range of transmissions to suit a variety of budgets. We are building on a budget so the Albins is out of our reach for this car.Lifes full of inconsistanties
The Mendi's have a great name in the states for desert racing and you will see most class 12's and 10's run the product. It is the best priced and one of the most reliable products out there.
