Cleaning fouled plugs

Hey all,

If Ive fouled a set of nearly new plugs is cleaning the electrodes with a bit of emery and re-gapping them sufficient to get them back to working properly?

Depends what you are going to use to re-gap them?

Seriously, blow them dry, wipe a clean cloth between the electrode and the earth, check the gap and throw them back in.

Do you know why you fouled them?

Another helpful hint: racing the car usually cleans the plugs just nice...

if you know a good auto spark they should have a neat little beadblast to do the job nicely furious

yeah, fouled them for a couple of reasons - wired the map sensor backwards so it was reading full load at atmo, and a buggered set leads (6 of 8 were open!) and not always firing.

clean em up, bung em in, go racing. sounds good! :)
