i've been running the castrol edge 5 w 30 , but was thinking of going to a thicker viscosity oil since you lost 2 engines ,
i recon a single rate oil would be better to , as a race engine is alway at operating temp , but im a bit worried if it'll affect the VCT ,
i was wonderring if the differant tracks can have affect , colo is a great drivers track , tight and twisty , which will cause oil serge , were some tracks over here are like freeways , wide and stright ,
mabe you should get gary's mivec , adams goes hard , when it goes !!

it's not the speed of life that scares me, it's the sudden stop at the end ,
However, you need to look at your oil temp. I have seen Castrol Edge synthetic that could not cope with the heat (John Towers , Mildura, many years ago)and turned the oil into black stinky poo. Direct replacement with Penzoil no more problems.
