I was reading the AORCom minutes the other night, one of the delegates refered to the difficulty of information filtering back to clubs & members. The process of going to club meeting, raising issue, getting state delegate to take issue to state panel, getting national delegate to take issue to national panel & then all the way back again seems very dated.
In this day of the internet, it would make good sense to use it more. Would those that run this site be interested in having an AORCom section on the forum. It could be used by the com to pass on info or conduct surveys etc. It could also be used by members to raise issues with AORCom.
All well and good Daryl but it seems to have been lost that this is supposed to be a forum for Sydney Off Road Racing Association. It is on our club website but seems to have been somewhat hijacked. A national forum elsewhere would be more suitable.
steve i know this the sorra forum but the fact is it is used by the entire east coast and is coping 50,000 veiws a month and growing. i have been asked several times would i change this to be the national forum and have said no. i wish to keep the members coming back and promoting sorra as much as possible. i have considered having a cams section on the forum but it won't be happening just yet. as the forum is now covering the costs of running it self i will be looking to upgrade it over to it own sever so we can have more photos, video and lot of other cool stuff but this will take me a while to do as i don't want to lose any of the info on the forum.
so what i'm saying is stay tuned this forum will only go forward.
I dont think SORRA needs advertising to the national off road community. Advertising to the general motor sport enthusiast in the Sydney area would be more advantagous.

I'm not in SORRA, so my opinion is just that, my opinion, but I think promotion everywhere would be a good thing.
When you look at the sponsors for the various pages, not all of those sponsors are only Sydney based. The major sponsor of the site is based on the Gold Coast (though they do service Sydney as well).
With the club in financial difficulties due to the legal action surely if AORCom were happy to help contribute to the upkeep of the forum this is money into the club coffers.
Food for thought.
