The inference from the comments Ive read is that SORRA has been mis-managed and thats always the first conclusion drawn, when an organisation starts pleaded for financial assistance.
The fact is SORRA is a non-profit organisation and the primary operating principles are based on charging minimal membership fees, minimal event entry fees and pouring this and any other income back into the club and into Colo Park, for the enjoyment of all.
SORRAs annual running costs have equalled its expenses as long as its been in existence.
The legal mess that were currently in, as a result a Nissan Trial Event, has thrown costs at SORRA, in both time and money that the club is unable to bare, without help.
SORRA and Nissan Patrol club are currently on either side of this legal stoush, so there wont be much progress on the next Colo Trials, until its resolved.
So the question is simple. Can you help??
If you can, then any contribution will go towards keeping SORRA alive until we work through the current situation.
If SORRA folds then Ive no doubt that the pieces will get picked up all over the place but make no mistake, Colo Park will be lost forever.
National Parks are waiting at the fence to absorb colo and abolish any form of public access to the entire area and they will make absolutely sure that if SORRA has to surrender its permission to occupy Colo, then no one else will be allowed to take over.
All SORRA members have been asked to chip in a few bucks to help keep it alive but dont be shy. If youre not a member, you can still help.
The details can be found on the front page of SORRA website.
Thanks,
Jeff Cripps.
