l would also like to find this out. Over in the states they have a new class 5 (Baja) class that has started l would like to see some firm Baja rules here as l think it is a true newby's class, but also a great competiters class as well. Didn't a Baja win class 4 at a national event in 07.
I have 2 bajas, one I am going to street register, the other was an ex-racer form cowra (I think) it used to do the centre trek in the 80's. It has roll cage etc, and would probably be raceable, but we use it as a paddock basher (I realise how much better buggies have got over the years) But I have had thoughts it would be a good starter for the kids when they are older! I might try to get some pics up and see if anyone recognises it!
I know they are not race ready, but they ARE baja's.
Yellow one will eventually be road registered and used for reconaissance and fun! It was sitting in a farm shed since 1987.
The red? one used to be raced around the condobolin/cowra area, it was road registered, has 4 wheel disc brakes, roll cage, ball joint front, 1900?cc engine! A farmer had bought it for a shooting wagon, hence the hole in the roof.
