Boss & FOA'S Prolite

Finally after 12 months of overtime and family duties we had some time to spend on the car. We mounted the motor, gearbox (Kombi until new 1 arrives), oil coolers, mirrors, pedals, foot rest and a few other things

Just a few more photos of the car we are in the process of bolting most items back in as all the brackets have now been welded in.

You spy right one is for the power steering the other for the gearbox. They are off ebay and are cheap as well.

We have had a couple of weeks off and are getting back into it now. We had to modify the front arms as they were designed for use with 2.0 shocks and we are using 2.5's. We have mounted the shocks with the eibach springs to the back ( thanks Jimco USA for the spring rates) we have a new Ali power steering resi mounted near the cooler. We have a new cactus dual blower to mount up and window nets as well. We had the exhaust bent up but we need to tig a new one up out of mandrel bends. We are hoping to be at Donald but it will more likely be Finke or Sealake.

We haven't posted for a while but we haven't been standing still either. We have changed direction with the build and have a new 5 speed coming in from the USA in the King Shocks next container, we will have to change all our rear mounts to suit so we are going to an inboard configuration as we dont have the top end horsepower of most of the prolites and are hoping that a well balanced chassis will help. 90% of the car is here the last big purchase we have now are axles. We are hoping to be racing soon.

No we are going with a Porsche box that we will be bringing in to sell. When it gets to Aus it will be going to Bill Croft to have an adaptor kit made then we will test the set up make sure it works OK and hopefully start selling them. It will only be good for Prolite or pro class but it will be cheaper than a worked kombi box.
