There is no way that it would be a compulsory driver change... how would people who have never driven the cars step into the car of Shannon Rentsch or Dave Fellows?? Unless you have spent time driving them you would either end up destroying the car, yourelf or driving extremely slowly..
That was a common fear for crews running Bathurst for many years but it does have positives particularly when you can discover new or undiscovered talent. Ask Garry Rogers.
True, but that is when you are running a team and looking for people to sit in your cars. Almost all of those who race in off road are owner/drivers, so they don't want to put other people in a seat.

Agreed but owners and owner/drivers are both still paying the bills. Its just the scale thats different. By the way I too would be reluctant to put someone else in the drivers seat of a car I owned.
Have a look at all the other guys you race against. I'm sure you will know of some who you wouldn't let near your car but there are others who you may think would be devestatingly quick in a good car. Either way - BRING BACK GRIFFITH!
