Gday mate,

Not that good actually...  The jumps eastern creek are ridulously small, are on the inside of the corners, and are painted in red and white to try to make you avoid them.  What softies.  What?  Huh?  A ripple strip!  Wow! that sounds like fun!  Can we put heaps of them across the track to make the racing more interesting?  :)

The only cars there that looked like offroad buggies were these formula ford things, and theres no way one would stand up to even the pit exit at Colo!  what incredible softies!

In all seriousness, not much fun.  The corporate booth was full of corporate wankers, The beer could ONLY be drunk inside the booth (and if I wanted to drink beer and watch it on TV I would have stayed home) and with only the front straight to be seen it was really a bit ho-hum.

It was a shame, we had high hopes - we actually ended out buggering off early.  I guess Im just too used to enjoying dust in my coke, dust in my pie and dust in my eyes while Im trying to watch. I guess Ive been spoiled by motorsport where the cars get sideways, get airborne and the drivers and crews are actually happy to talk to you rather than making you feel like youre wasting your time.

I can understand why people like to go....  but it was my first and last look at asphalt racing.

RE: super cars

Garry,

You'll have to write a nice review & thank them for the opportunity to compare what they do  and what the best is.

hmmm...   aside from the lack of atmosphere, the fact that the cars are more exciting on TV (and the fact that I couldnt just wander over and check out anyones car (and the fact there are no jumps!)) our coldish reception may have something to do with the fact that Rick thought that skaifey may have heard my comment "his nose doesnt look nearly as large in real life!"  ha ha!
