Wondering where people are mounting their computers in their buggy's we are considering putting it up inside the dash, also what type of containers are people mounting them in, if it is in a sealed box do you have over heating issues for the computer? All help would be greatly appreciated.
We always ran the Motec in a completely sealed box behind the seats, and never had any problems with overheating.
Mounting it inside the dash won't cause any problems, however it will mean that you have to run your full loom all the way to the front of the car. With it mounted further back, you don't have to run it as far, and it can be easier to make it look neater through the cabin by having less wires running through there.
If its an ems you need to keep the ecu close to the manifold so that the vaccum line isnt too long. Other than that its just wiring. keep it easy to get to for trouble shooting though!
