Parts Wash - what to use

Im grabbing a parts washer for the new garage at ricks place - anyone recommend a cleaning solution?

PG uses kero/diesel mix and it works fine but is supposed to be sterility inducing due to its toxicness .  (toxicness?? Another new word!)

Ive also heard use avgas, petrol, straight kero, degreaser etc.  Not to keen on these due to the flamibility factor.

Anyone got a better suggestion?

You can buy parts cleaning solvent from most oil companies (caltex, castrol etc), its a bit expensive....i think $3-4 litre? in 20ltr containers.

I use straight kero, but i think most of the other options may kill you! Save the cigars and bourbon for when the cleanings done!!!

Use it as a punch, 9 parts turps, 1 part CV grease!

Keep in mind that Kero will leave a film on your parts like cv's etc and grease wont stick to it, I use Castrol parts wash solvent and find that it lasts a lot longer and removes grease a lot better than kero or diesel etc.
Solvent is worth the money.

I use mineral turps as well.  It cleans and removes grease well, and does not leave an oily film like kero or degreaser.
