This is from the CAMS manual
"Vehicles must also be fitted with at least one rearward facing amber lamp, of at least 18 Watts power and wired so that it operates at all times when the main power is switched on"

What about the LED lights that everyone uses ? They are nowhere near 18 watts.

Thanx friz, i just read the manual and 18 watts is the minium for rear facing dust lights i was also interested on the minium for forward facing lights?u can also use led for rear facing lights..

No choice as far as I'm concerned. L.E.D.
Nothing worse than being sent back from the start line because your bulb has blown & you didnt know.

keep it mounted as high as you can,
don't quote me on this but i think it can't be mounted any lower than 200mm below the roof line.
