your both correct no prizes though should slot into pro-lite nicely or add supercharger and just hang on anybody looking at a new car really should have a look at alumicraft had a look at one being built when i was there a couple weeks ago for an aussie also a pro-lite workmanship is first class and good people and cheap
I am only about the asking price away from being able to afford it.... oh, plus the shipping and GST costs when it arrives. Apart from that, I could easily get it :)
from memory cost of a pro-lite/ pro complete without shocks motor and gbox about $80k US plus gst this includes quality parts costs $5 or$6k freight charges includes your container send john cooley an email he said he could do a better deal if he had a couple to build at the same time this guy is very respected over there and his shop is about the same size as jimco call me if you need more info im sure he would love to build some more cars
I look forward to seeing it run. When are you looking at it being here? Hopefulyl I can get some good shots of it if you are going to any National events with it?
The shipping side of things is actually not a problem for me, I work for a Customs Brokerage/Freight forwarding company so I would get it at a cost price or better. Unfortunately that is the easy part, the car itself is the hard part.
They do look to be a really nice car. Darryl Smith from Melbourne runs one in Super 1650. Think it is a couple of years old, but beautifully built. Assuming your is left hand drive, are you looking at converting it to right hand drive?
Could be about 6 to 8 weeks wait 5 weeks of that is on ship and waiting on paperwork to come back i plan on doing nationals and state when time permits the pro-lite i looked at when at alumicraft is for a well known national racer he will give pro-lite a shake up and you will have to wait you won't get that out of me left hand drive i might give it a crack i have some work to do on chassis to get a log book see if time permits i would like to run it at milbrodale
Sounds good, you will have it here in no time then.
Well known National Competitor.... currently or previously been racing Pro Lite or another class?
I guess it doesn't hurt to try Left hand drive. my biggest concern with it would be when I had a "moment" would I try to grab another gear or something on the wrong side out of reflex. I guess after driving it a couple of times you will soon work out if that would be a problem or not.
Looks good Simpson, I'm only a little bit jealous. :( Bit concerned about the Honda choice, your abandoning the subaru camp now....you might want to reconsider? Anyway, Ian Fish has decided to prolite subaru, so I still have support out there somewhere!!
Also, you wont beat us while its left hand drive anyway?
Jones you could be right about the left hand drive no one wanted to sit in the passenger seat in the big bus while i carved my way though the US very scary driving through LA takes a bit of getting used to and until i sell my old car there is still a chance the new one could get a scooby ill have to see how good the honda goes matt owen heard that name mentioned somewhere

jonesy, they will handle YOUR subi power (or lack of ) surpose to be able to handle 350 - 400 hp at flywheel garry, was told by the end of the month, so hopefully all going well it'll be ready for griffith (but if you want to give me your six speed AGB i would let you ) and i think ottey i trying for milbordale
