steve taylor,  simon lenox , jeff thomas finished the day  no worries

Ian Irons has a bent rear arm and wont be continuing on tomorrow he was hoping to fix it with some tent pegs but the drive back with bent arm cause large vibrations which has cause a front king pin to break. so the car is now on the trailer and may be geting use for spares on the john fraser car.

David Nikiforoffhad bearing go in a rear arm but is repairing ready to for tommorrow

Warren Denhamin the trans vent car blew a gearbox , they are replacing gearbox tonight and should be go for a start in the morning.

Jeff Cripps is having unknown troubles will update once i know

john fraser trailer the car back in to camp today with a shredded tyre not sure what the cause is but ian was asked if his car may be used for parts so they are hopefully repairing  and may be ok tommorrow ,  johns wife  is navigating for the first time in condo this year and loving it.

the conditions are very wet with the organisers having to change the course  as the route was just not drying out.

ian said it very ruff and wet and the locost are making it hard to see as they just go splat on your visor.

all this info is coming via phone from ian irons and i will update as more info comes through.

Once again, I had a wonderful time at this event. For years I have not encouraged my wife Ann to co-drive - navigate. She was concerned about car sickness and I was concerned about getting lost. Well she did a great job in the silly seat and did not look like getting sick.

She even showed other people her drenched (dirt brown) driving suit, claiming it was not her but the big muddy water hole we went through that caused her to have a wet bum!

We had two punctures on the 130km section (with only one spare). We battled through, driving about 120km on a flat. There was little left of the tyre when we arrived at the service-meal break.

In the last stage for day 1, we were going well until about 300 metres from the finish (we could see it just up ahead) a rear wheel came off. With the help of some spectators our wheel was found. We raided wheel nuts from other wheels and managed to get a couple on the studs, as they were all worn and buggered. However we managed to get to the control, even though we had lost a lot of time.

I would like to thank all the people that came to offer help to get us going again. In particular I appreciated the generous support of Steve Taylor as he had wheel nuts and studs which we were able to use to repair our buggy.

We started day 2, however on the transport out to the first competitive section the gearbox developed a knock, and as much as I would like to have kept going, I figure the noise was not going to heal it self. So we decided to pull out.

The Condo 750 is a fantastic event, a great adventure and Ann and I will be back next year.
