Proposed Changes to Exteme 2WD and 4WD Class Regulations

The Australian Off Road Commission has become aware of the need to update the Off Road Specific Requirement regulations, specifically in regards to Extreme 2WD and 4WD and the implementation of an Unlimited Production Class.

Commissioner Daniel Rogers has formulated a new model for these regulations.

We invite feedback to the proposed changes from any interested party until July 31st 2010.

After reading the proposed new rules l find them to be quite well done but l don't understand why if you run a Baja in class 4 you could not run an after market transmission. In most cases the Mendi 4 speed or the new Albins 4 speed will be cheaper to run and stronger than a Porsche box or for that matter a built renault box.
