Hi Guy's For the newcomers who asked questions. Just download off front page or the Mini Buggy section of this forum Paperwork can be done on the day, but if it is possible, it would be preferable to download it and complete & send it away asap. It makes things a lot easier on the day and will help give us some clue on numbers. If you elect to pay direct debit, scan receipt write your name on it , & send copy with paper work. We will be going for laps at night , just gotta do that.no flat out stuff, but it will be interesting & fun. Don't forget the $12.00 Baked dinner Saturday night, another reason to have an idea of numbers?
Get your lights out and ready to race this weekend!!!!
This weekend is the Day/Night race at COLO PARK starts at midday or shortly there after.Off road Buggies of all description will be there ,from Mini Buggies having a social event to the big fella's we all know and love. The Mini Buggies are trying to get thier form of our sport up & going and the CAMS NSW Sport & Club Developement person , Michael Gates is coming along to help move things along. It will be Michaels introduction to our sport in real life so we want a good turnout of cars & buggies to make a good impression (you know what I mean). The Canteen will be working all weekend . Take the family along for the Saturday Night Dinner, Roast pork,Lamb & beef , with all the trimmings & dessert for just $12.00 Where else could you take your wife or girlfriend for a dirty weekend & Dinner for that money, If you are going to Grifffith, This race is a good test of your car to make sure its all in readieness for the MTQ Griffith 700 and check out the Mini Buggiy's .Its on this Weekend 10/11 July, come on up and join the fun.
hi i am thinking of coming out and having a look at this event will there be many cars entered??? and is this track is the same 1 as the off road rush track???
Yes it will use the Off Road Rush track, Not sure how many cars will be there. I'd guess 10ish racing, I will be there with the Pink Baja. Should be a great weekend
There will be a great variety of cars there with sedans, the Buggies and Mini Buggy's as well. The main track is about 5 klms in length bring a tent and camp for the weekend,it is all free and good fun,you might get to go on the night drive.if you can scab a seat. It is possible?

Colo race seemed to go well with everyone enjoying themselves, (except maybe Tardy, who was enjoying himself untill his front wheel decided it wanted to go solo.) All the mini buggies got a lot of kms in and they should have all slept well on Sunday night.
The event was run very well with a few key personel unable to attend.
A great dinner on Sat night Including dessert and fireworks.
Can't report on overnight happenings but there were some that stayed up all night but unfortunately I don't think they could remember.
As for the race itself, I can't really report on other than the things I noticed, I am guessing that 12ish cars entered. Saturdays day race went perfectly the second time, and both night races were a lot of fun, Adam was testing for the MTQ Griffith race and Luckily for the rest of us got it dialed in on Sat, so didn't need any furthur testing on Sunday. Gav 24 was running well but suffer a problem in the night race, Hope he enjoyed the night section he did get through. Sundays racing was smooth running for most, Gordon probably doesn't agree, as he was running a comfortable 2nd with a possible 1st in his sights when disaster struck. Unfortunately due to my arrival to the track on Sat with no fuel in the car and one emty jerry can. I had to make a few trips up and down the Putty between races to keep my fuel tank moist and therefore don't know how others went, feel free to fill in any blanks. But I do know that a flying pajero, after a tight battle with Howes 304 car made it an historic 1, 2 outright for the tin tops.
I will chase up results and get them up for those interested.
