You didn't include dzeus fasteners, so I clicked bolted. (not sure if dzeus is legal though?)

Sorry to hear about your floor, guess that means we are going to lose another keen newcomer (that makes 2 on this forum already!)

Just soooo lucky someone hasn't been killed in that car of yours because of that extremely dangerous floor mounting (sarcasm is a gift)

My floor is welded in place along all sides.

Also my buggy has flat panels riveted to the bar work along side the engine bay (rear quarter panels)
Do I need to get the holes welded & remount the panels?

I suggest you don't do any serious mods yet.
I will talk to some scrutineers about them reporting "Floor not removable" or "Hoist not available" etc. Commonsense may prevail!!

Jos Roder is the man at CAMS in charge of this. I will be writing to him over the weekend to attempt to get some common sense.

well i guess the rule wont be to bad we only stand to lose 15% of cars based on the 32 votes so far.

and i'm sure some of those cars will get modded to suit the rules.

and jonesy i still wish to race but now just seems like its not meant to be. i have a plan b but really want to move the car now and clear some bills.

heres one for the smart blokes
whats stronger
a half ass bolted floor pan
or epoxyed and riveted floor and side panels that will increase rigidity

I have a number of pantec trucks and a couple of the latest ones have the whole side walls and roof sicoflexed on The builders of these seem to have faith in this process and my 5th wheel trailer is put together with it as well    But once you stick panels and floors on they are there for good.  How do you have the latest inspections  or do you get a pass ?

no pass what you do is strip the car for parts use the money to go and buy a motorbike and go and have fun and you dont need to worry weather the side bar is 430mm or 450mm cause you dont have or need them on a motor bike.

I wrote to Jos Roder over the weekend, he said he would table my letter at the November AORCom meeting. There will be a dicussion about these inpections at the meeting. I suggest that anyone who has concerns about these rules write to Jos & outline them. If we are all silent AORCom will think we are all happy with the changes.

Just spent the morning cutting out my floor pan & would like to change my vote to bolted.

Wasn't that hard a job (even for a locksmith)
