Shouldn't be to many big buggies ,so there will be plenty of time to play on Saturday arvo and then on Sunday there will be lap dashes on the dirt circuit at the top of the property.
sub regs will be out soon. they wil be passed on to you.
The meeting coming up ,26/27th February 2011, will have just Sunday running for the Mini Buggies and that will be laps on the dirt circuit,. Good fun, spread the word so we can get as many guys And Girls along to be part of it?
good fun! are u sure we cant run the long track again.that top curcit is boring ,last 2 times were supposed to be demonstration runs. honestly its a lot of effort and time to only run on that small loop
i know i need a cams spec buggy. i need to sell this one to fund it. cant wait to race with u guys. i have plans to build a class 3 sportsman buggy. wife says sell then i can start again
It would be good to have you join us James. I would suggest it is sometimes better to buy yourself a complete car to go racing in to start with. Carl has done that as has many others and you get to enjoy your racing sooner.
very sad to see them loosing interest before it even got off the ground. Those that I spoke to at the last Colo round seemed like a great bunch of blokes who just like us want to get out and play with their toys.
I'd hate to see the effort that has been put in so far lead to nothing. There is a great opportunity for the guy's who are only interested in the social side of the mini buggies, and an even greater opportunity for those who wish to race against like machines that comply with the rules. The issue is that there are not enough mini buggies attending the meetings. The guy's with the Sidewinders, and similar Edge type machines need to build the numbers and get more involved. There needs to be more communication between these guys. James's voice is the only one we hear and he cannot race in the mini buggy class or cams events for one simple reason. What do the other guy's want? There is no point in whinging about what you cannot do. What can you do? "Help us help you"!!!!!
thanks for your support gordon i wish i could do more to get the whole mini buggy thing up and going to but it takes the support from everyone. i posted draft rules up they are for social events only not timed racing and i only got one reply.this is a pretty poor response a. i need to sell mine and i thought there might be more interest if we had some orginised social days but it might never happen.either way its for sale to help fund the next project
I understand your frustration and I am just waiting on CAMS to approve our Supp-Regs for the next event which will have everyone running on the Giddy Giddy dirt circuit down from George's Camp. The only difference for the Mini Buggy people will be that they cannot be timed.
After that I suggest that you could point out to the other participants that it is now over to them to start running some events. This track would be ideal as most of it is in view of spectators. You will need to check when you wish to book it but even when other people are hiring the track they do no always use this area, so it will probably only mean avoiding the dates that SORRA itself has set. I will forward the new contact name at CAMS to both yourself and Kevin and I have forwarded him a draft copy of your club's regulations. I suggest that you contact him then and see what help he can give you in getting your club organised.
il most likely now be coming for saturday only. ive heard that mini buggioes will only be alowwed out on the sunday which is a bummer. if anythign changes or there is any possibility that the mini buggies can go out saturday for a little bit il bring it up..
havent heard back just yet on more numbers for the meet il have it all posted when i hear of it.
We have to draw up and submit the regs for the events at least 6 weeks prior to them happening, so trying to fit in Mini Buggies on both days becomes a problem when we can not get an idea on how many may turn up. So the decission was made to include them on the Sunday part of the event. This way they will still be running the same track as the bigger cars and the same distance & have as many laps as them as well.
Come along and have some fun. It is listed as a social event for the Mini Buggies, so all the Mini Buggies can have a go
