Buggy Death in NSW

Very Sad to see another death that could have been prevented.

A TEENAGE boy has been killed in a dune buggy crash on a property in southern NSW.

Police say a 16-year-old Narrandera boy was a passenger in the buggy when it crashed on a property on Hamlin Road at Boree Creek, near Lockhart, at about 8pm on Sunday.

A police statement says a 53-year-old Victorian man was driving the vehicle when it crashed, throwing the boy, who was not wearing a seat belt or helmet. The boy died at the scene.

Police and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the accident site and the man was treated for minor injuries.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers, and detectives have seized the vehicle for examination.
