hi, i looking at trying to get a few people and buggys together to get a weekend away sorted, i have contact http://www.binacrombi.com.au/directions.html this place to see if they will let buggys on site.
but just thought i would see how many people we can get..
hey mate sounds good to me. they can get heavily booked there, ask about the cabins too.
ive taken my buggy there with dune buggies australia at the start of april.. its pretty good, some areas can be a bit tight but theres a big open area to muck around in. theres a massive tabletop to get some air if you are keen too.
cabins are available with all ya need showers (hot if u light a fire to get the boilers working), gas heaters and a gas fridge as well. i think they are 4 share and i would advise that if we were to make a meet lets chip in and get one or 2 as it will get bloody cold there overnite. (camp sites are located in certain areas but once that sun goes down its pretty chilly.)
the place is located over the south side of oberon.. anyone from sydney would go down to goulburn, up to taralga then to binacrombi.. if your from bathurst etc you would go through oberon. the road into binacrombi is a bit rough with 2 river crossings, a family sedan can do this easily.. but leave the maloo ute or anything lowered at home please! information can be obtained from there website.
buggie prices are aroudn $30-$35 per day, i think a cabin is around 300 a weekend (i think) divide that by 4 over 2 nites and its pretty cheap ($75 per head for the weekend).
having been at binacrombi just recently id reccomend it for a quick getaway and to blow the dust off your buggie..
i dont check this site that often so email me at bugadifino@hotmail.com
hey mick how big is your buggy?? mine is 3000mm length and 1400mm wide and easily got around we had one a bit bigger (joyner sandviper 1100) and that was a bit tight to get around some of the areas.
mine is about 2000mm wide. but doing some major changes to it, as i broke it the other day, so you are a interested person? so still might make it that weekend if we can get a few more. need about 5 or so
2000mm no problems, the joyner sandviper is 2100mm and it was able to navigate quite well.. just have to go slow on the access to the large open area.. ul be good to go!
yeah im keen as mick il try and see who else is off the forums and get back to ya.
no worries, cameron. hopefully have mine back on the road by then, it will be :) ordering clutch today. and new wheels and tyres should be here soon, so will be a little narrowier to
