BALACLAVA

Reminder to all competitors that unless you have a Level A Helmet, you must wear a balaclava to Level A standard, which is FIA 8856-2000 only.  SFI balaclavas are not suitable.  How do you know if you have a Level A Helmet?  As per CAMS Manual Schedule D it will have one of the following standards on it:- FIA 8860-2004, Snell SA2000 (only unitl end 2014), Snell (SAH) 2010, SA2010, SFI 31.A, 31.2A or BS6658.85 Type A/FR (only until end of 2013). Even if your helmet is Level A it is suggested that a balaclava be worn.

snell sa 2005

All of the above are level A helmets and not needing the use of a balaclava
All other helmets you will need a balaclava
