Just an update if anyone is interested, work began on 140 & 141 as soon as we got back from Crookwell with 141 needing a gearbox overhaul and a general tidy up Adam has been busy. Kevin Ottey came up last weekend to lend a hand on 141 and he will be the navy in it at Finke.

140 had a fair bit of damage after hitting a tree at Crookwell with a complete set of new boxed A arms and new steering arms as well as all the hardwear being ordered from Alumicraft in the US. A big thanks to Cam at Racer Imports for getting them here FAST

That all arrived for last weekend and is just about finished off. Were still waiting on a new PWR radiator to turn up with the original Ron Davis one being not repairable. So we have had a busy and expensive couple of weeks.

Our transporter has been to the panel shop to repair the damage to the drivers side after the b double semi collision on the way to Hyden. Thanks to Matt Martin (Swan) at Revolution smash for his help although i haven't seen it yet. How many runs in the paint i wonder. It went from there to to mechanics for other work so it would be right for the drive to ALICE SRINGS in a couple of weeks.

This must be one of the most interesting top 20 results I have seen, go the pro-lites!
Where are all the pro class cars?.......maybe we are getting to the point where power may not always be the answer?
Well done to the aussie built cars, the razorbacks are doing well again, and a southern cross right up there.
Not that I have a problem with jimcos, but it is great to see a diversified field of manufacturers.

Hey Jonesy good to see a Nissan powered prolite Chenowth up there too biggrinbiggrinbiggrin    Interesting to see the top 7 are 3 prolites, 3 extreme 2wds and only 1 pro car, hopefully we might see prolites on the outright podium again

Gallard has to be favorite to bring it home considering his past form on the run back to Alice!! But also, good luck to OBR, would love them to get a win! they deserve it!

Well done to Greg Garnter and Jamie Jennings on winning the 2011 Tattersalls Finke Desert Race, I was talking to the boys before they left and they said a top ten finish would be the best that they could hope for, this blows that away.
look out Alice Spring those boys know how to party !!

p.s great to see a southern cross on the podium , especially great that it's a prolite as well :)

Yup, great job Gartner!! Big effort and great to see a truck finally win the Finke! When was the last time a non buggy won and AORC event outright?

Last event won by a tin top would be Goondawindi quite a few years ago when Milton did it in a Bennett truck.

Also good effort to the Gartner Team, always quick and always spectacular to watch. Of the 200+ kilometers the track is, you know that the rear wheels would of doubled that distance in wheelspin sideways!
