CAMS regs, firewall, floor bracing, roof

Building a new buggy and I'm keen on coming across the ditch to have a play.

The CAMS firewall reg is a little confusing. I gather I need to run an aluminium firewall that shields the front and top of my already encased fuel safe fuel cell?

I'm also at a loss as to the requirements on floor bracing. There doesn't appear to be anything specified in the CAMS manual.

Am I also correct in reading that the roof must be 2.6mm thick? WOW, heavy man.

I managed to 'get away' with the standard fuel safe style for a while, but it was recommended that I put another fiewall over the top to make scrutineering easier, it was not a big problem, but it is a waste of time though.
I was also knocked on my roof plate, but I think if its steel, then the thickness is less (2.6 is for aluminium?)
As far as I know, floor thickness and bracing is not regulated, but dont give them ideas!

The fuel safe tanks are fine you don't need to have a firewall i had my new car checked by a gold level cams scruitener   but you only need to get one guy that dosn't know the rules to spoil your day.
I also had my roof knocked back so i am fitting a 3 mil one under the old one just to stuff them (my origanal one is deustz fastened)in my opinion still better than a hinged one

Thanks Gentlemen. As the regs are very different between our two countries I've decided to build a lightweight 1650cc single seater.

Be sure to check the regs for  the Super 1650 class, I think it needs to be a two seater? Cheers.

It does. As such this car will never be traversing the ditch.
