You are in the right place!

Congrats on the purchase of your new buggy.

I'm sure one of the mini buggy guys will be on here shortly to fill you in on the details but until then, welcome to the forum.

welcome pete, i'm trying to find out what class licence i need some say 1r other say no. so going to ring cams on monday and confirm, but you will need to become a sorra member,
have your buggy complie with torc regs, and get a log book, that is if you want to race and be timed, failing that . just rock up..

Hi Peter T

Welcome to the Sydney Mini Buggy Club, i'm Kevin the chairperson of the club.  I see you brought the Groovers old buggy. CONGRATULATIONS!!!  You were wondering whether you needed an N O or an 1R licence.

If you are not competing in races but just running around and having fun all you need is a N O licence.  Only 13 questions i here from Forumadict.  You must meet the H4 Specials class which i think your buggy does meet.

If you wish to race you need a different licence, im not sure which one.  You will need to insure that the buggy meets the TORC specifications.  Im not sure if your buggy meets them but if it doesnt it shouldnt take too much work to meet this standard.

I have attached a copy of these specs.  If it doesnt work just contact me on sapphireyellow@optusnet.com.au

Would you like to go on the SMBC e-mail list and have regular information sent to you.

Kevin

Hi there Kevin if you could add me to that email list.

Just downloaded the files and will read over them latter.

Seems like there will be a bit of hard work cut out before I make it on the track.

I know I will need safety netting or hand restraints on my harness.

Is there a regular race calendar for colo and seen as a I have a R1000 motor is there a class for me?

Would I be racing with guys that have the same power?
