I wondered how you get a car like a Jimco 2000 through CAMS cage regs?
The side bracing is 1 inch, not the required 1.5 inch, there isn't a longitudinal cross in the floor, the A pillar support doesn't go to the main chassis rail, the side bracing is an inverted V.. all of which is not in compliance with the CAMS manual posted here. http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/05_offroad/OR05_OffRoad_General_Reqs(GR)_Q411.pdf
Jimco do a version they call "Aussie Special" If you were importing a used one you would have to alter it to suit the regs before getting a logbook issued for it. If you are looking at an old one in Australia you need to check the cams manual for the year it was logbooked.
Remember some changes in the rules are (forget the word)... everyone has to do it even on old cars. Some of the side intrusion stuff comes under this rule.
