any one done or seen a 20 valve dry sumped in off road ?
the stuff i've come across on the net seem to have the pumps mounted where my P/S or alt are mounted as those guys ( clubmans ect ) dont run that gear like we do ,

pitty sure SR's still have oil surge problems when driven hard ! with my modified sump i haven't noticed any surging , and i'll proberly never fit a dry sump system due to $$$ just wanted to see if others are using it , even on other engines

Accusump. Takes up slack when the pickup runs dry. I run a 3 quart with my Nissan twin turbo. It's also simple with no pump or belts. As an added benefit I have 30psi of oil pressure before I even start the engine.
yeah have seen them , sound like a good thing , can you upload some photos of your systeem ?
phill , made some kick outs with gates , some extra baffeling , also removed the piston cooling squirters , now that oil is being directed into the bearings , oil pressure is up 25 psi , and conrods have a drilling that sprays oil up the cyl bore and onto the piston coming from the b/end bearing , haven't had dramas with it , the engine thats died at hyden had a valve drop ( cracked retainer ) when i striped it down there was no signs of piston scoring or heat stress , the bearings look to be in the best condition of any of my motors i've striped down , no signs of oil starvation ,
spoiltone , haveing a large sump with out any baffeling isn't good , proberly worse than a small sump , oil will build up more speed aand moment when car is cornering , the oil will run up the side of the sump and engine block and away from the pick up ,
