Had a look at the entry list for Sea Lake today, 85 entrys so far is a fairly good effort, it would be good to see it hit the 100 mark.

That's impressive, how many years has it been since a national round ( or any round) cracked the 100?
Well done sea lake, I think you deserve it!

It's always been a great race, it's always well run and the whole town gets behind it, SLORC deserves a pat on the back for putting on a great event.

I would think they will get a few more, early entries don't always get there by the due date.

With two Southern Cross entries carrying three generations of Strawbridge that has to be some sort of record for a national round!

Never been there, but hoping to go and spectate.
Is the rec ground, the main place to camp, and is that near the airstrip/race venue?
Do we need to drive between the camping area and race venue might be a better question?

You drive from the camping area to the track. It isn't a massive distance, about 10 minutes.

Thanks trekka, hope to catch up with you again?
I will be taking my son, can we get near the pits (behind a fence)? is there heaps of parking room etc to setup for the day?

Lots of space, you sjould be able to see a fair bit of the pit area. There is a nice hill to sit on that overlooks the stary line area, so you should be able to see plenty from there. I will be getting there on Friday afternoon and around all weekend getting pictures, etc. Weather looks like it is going to be good so far, so fingers crossed!

What a great weekend, my first time there and loved it.
After going to Donald several years ago I swore I would participate in more victorian races, wish I had done so!
What I really liked was the 'grass roots' back to basics feel....really good to visit a national where you dont get hounded for doing something wrong everywhere you turn.

Sea Lake has always been a great event, they run things in a relaxed kind of way, they try their best to keep everyone happy and provide them with a fun, relaxing weekend of racing. The track is also great, a really good mix of terrain. You will have to get the Chenowth down next year Jonesy, I am sure you would enjoy the track.

I would have to back you 99 % Jones well run and organised great people and all the officials were the best and nicest people i think i've come across. My only complaint would be the time it took to get through scrutineering. And not a bad race track also.

Have to agree , it was a great track and very well run, scrutineering did take a bit long but had a good atmosphere , the recovery access was the best I have ever seen. I recommend this race as one you have to do at least once in your racing career. Well done sea lake

Photos from the event are being uploaded as I write this post. Check out www.sunphoto.com.au. You can search for a particular driver/car using the search field. For example, in the search field you can type Garry Simpson Sea Lake 2012 and it will bring up all of the pictures of Garry from that event. All pictures should be up within approximately 1-2 hours.

The website has been very slow recently, hopefully I will have the chance to keep things a lot more up to date over the coming months, including adding pictures from The Pines last year and Portland earlier this year.
