Griffith State round will be held at a property called 'stackpool'. Those in the know will remember it as the halfway point of the previous point to point race in the past events.
It's envisaged that the race will consist of--
Saturday reconnaissance, prologue, and 4 laps of approx 33km track.
Sunday morning 4 laps, arvo 3 laps.
Camping MIGHT be available at the track, but no facilities provided save for the portable toilets. Caretakers MIGHT be camping to keep an eye on property left behind for those staying elsewhere.
The town of Goolgowi (approx 20km away) are supporting the event. The town provides pub and motel accomodation, servo, and the footy club should be offering camping/shower facilities.
Started on my buggy tonight, hope to be ready?.........pretty stupid if I dont make my closest race! Hows everyone else going? Who is going? Will you have yours repaired Danny?
Yeah the repair is going well, smashed out a big weekend on it and its 75% done, its was no where near as bad as i first thought, we will be testing the truck this weekend then strip it and get it ready for Gundy. I brought my super 1650 back the other week so ill do my best to get to griffith in that and have some fun!
I know there will be a few upset, but there will NOT be camping at the track. Some catering volunteers etc will be staying there overnight and anything left in the pits should be safe.
Goolgowie is only a small town, and by camping in their town will help them and us in the future.
Food will be available both nights at the footy oval by the local scouts.
For those leaving their camp in town while racing, we feel they should be quite safe while you are gone.
The first sup regs had a mistake on the saturday running, I think it should have read (4 laps, with 3hrs to complete). I think this has been updated on the off road site.
There in NO 98 high octane fuel available in town.
