Ill get some incar footage up when i get home. We pulled into the crowd shortly after and had them rip off the bonnet as it flipped up, then we could see the damage, we stoved in the inter coolers which stopped us, no point dusting an engine!
Danny that was bad luck another couple of feet and it might of been an awesome jump, they say greatness is measured sometimes in inches. Better luck next year.
Technically the jump and landing scored highly. Just a pity about the damage, luckily the guy who built it is here in the country. Now that is a stroke of luck don't you think Danny? Here's hoping we both get to Griffith?
Wasn't having a go at any one just thought for the technology in these cars, we drive them at speeds that deserve better information to assist driver and navigator don't you think ?
I know you weren't having a dig mate! Totally agree, i was one for the introduction of gps a few years back, i think at least we should start looking at the IriTrack system, not only for safety but so teams, officials and people back home can keep up to date in real time of where the cars are. Also doing recce in road cars (under 80kph) stuck in dust and generally in a percussion of people is no way to inspect the track. Just my 2c BTW im not making excuses for what happened at Finke, that was just a stuff up by me!
