Fuel Regulator - what do you use/recommend?

Hey all,

What fuel pump do you use/recommend, and what fuel pressure are you running?

Cheers.

Depends on how much fuel you require. I ran out of fuel at 500whp on E30. I switched from a single 044 to two 044's and overpowered my Aeromotive FPR (not a big enough return). I switched to a TurboSmart which has a bigger return.

Our system in the Chenowth with the VQ35 is even simpler. I run a 044 pump with standard fuel rails and went down the wreckers and got a fuel regulator out of a 3.5lt toyota motor and joined it on the end. Works a treat and cost next to nothing... win win

supply and return line size is also important
i've steped my suppy up from 5/16 ( 8 mm ) to 3/8 ( 10 mm )
and my return was 1/4 ( 6 mm ) to 3/8

I run a dual system switchable on the dash by a 3 way switch.

My lift pumps are Facet, going to a 3 ltr surge tank, with 2 outlets each going to 0 580 264 911 Bosch pumps. I run the standard injectors and fuel regulator which runs at 255kpa. It's only a little engine but it works well. If you can keep something from the factory that works then I try to utilise it.

on a side note in regards to toyota 20 valves ,
we found the factory location for the vacume hose was coming from cylinder 1 throtle body ,
and was doing some crazy stuff to the fuel pressre , at lower rpm
found when we moved it a vacume supply that came from all throtle body's the fuel pressure became stable at the same load / rpm

thanks guys.

We're running 2x carter lift pumps, 3Ltr swirl pot, 2x bosch 044 pumps... although not all at the same time. haha. A 3 way switch on the dash for the lift pumps, same for the fuel pumps with oneway valves and seperate filters. Pretty similar to the setup we had for the lexus.

The only peice of the puzzle left was the reg.

Thanks for your input!

On a side note, it appears I need to change my signature to something from back to the future... :)
