I need some help with a PCI comlink10. I want to hook it in to a UHF radio unit but the UHF has a 6 pin socket and the PCI comlink 10 has a 5 pin. Is there a way i can make or cut out a wire to get it to work ?? Any help would be great.
We have a fantastic radio tech here in Alice Springs that puts a 5 pin plug on the back of the radio .You then plug the PCI into the back and leave the front plug empty which makes for a neater install. When we got ours done we had to give him the radio ,intercom and helmets so he could work out the PCI wiring.
not just the pinouts, but how many milliVolts of audio is "bloody loud" versus "I can't gear a thing" to "I broke it"
Usually they are within the ballpark. But if you get the grounding wrong it can hum and whine like a bastard.
If you can't borroe one to copy take it to a radio comms workshop, its not worth the headache of listening to your alternator for thousands of kilometres.
