228mm vw clutch


running a 4age20valve and have a 228mm fly wheel and clutch but only 1600/1800 gearbox and am having clearance issues is this some thing that can be done Of do I need to change my flywheel and clutch. Or do I need to change the bellhousing any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I have done some research and this will not work from what I can gather the best option would be to change flywheel and clutch to 200mm rather than change the bellhousing input shaft and starter motor can some one let me know if this is right

hi Rhys im having the same trouble with my bellhousing on a Toyota v8 , I have rung morrie from trikk engineering and spoken to mal from w.a racegear here in Perth and they both have said you just have to get a die grinder inside and remove all that is touching and don't be scared to just go for it . I have started on mine take a bit at a time. spray what you have ground away with black spray paint and offer it back up to the engine and hand crank the engine over and you can see where it is still touching . good luck cheers Shane
