1976 Datsun 1200 ute. these Utes are getting rare this one needs some love but could be a good thing.
Good points:
Twin 40mm dellorto carburetors and manifold to suit A14 datsun had which as been ported and polished and placed on A12 block.
carburetors have both been rebuild by myself and are in very good condition will need to be tuned and possibly rejetted once the ute is running and in road worthy condition.
hand made aluminium Air box and air cleaner set up.
Clutch and gear box are in good condition.
as is the final drive.
Ute currently starts and runs fine.
comes with most parts needed to get Ute to road worthy condition.
Also comes with 4 black mag wheels 2 have good tyres 2 have tyres the will just past rego.
Bad points.
Rust the ute has one of the worst paint job i have seen done on a vehicle and now with sitting for
a time well I travelled has suffered, has surface rust on the roof and bonnet
as well as rust starting to come up in the sills and above the windscreen.
the ute has also been raped a bit in the past with bad workman ship on rust repairs such as the
inside of the tube has been replaced with checker plate but could really do with a tidy up.
brakes on the ute currently don't work as the fluid has seeped out over the past 2 years. I will bleed the brakes and try to find the slow leak this week.
Also has a very poorly made hard cover which i have tried to tidy up.
