Here be it boys and girls our 20th go at doing the business.
many thanks to our Sponsors, the CNCSCC and helpers. Being round 5 of the SORRA Championship, on a Multi Club Permit and only 3 hours north, there's really no excuse is there.
NABIAC AIRPORT CHALLENGE - OFF ROAD EVENT 17-09-2015
7 entries received to date, keep them coming boys and girls.
Sowts been on a widening program over the last 12 months, on the track that is, we had a good couple of inches of rain last week that will kick along things nicely.
At the General Meeting on Saturday we, the organising committee, were informed that the CNCSCC is seriously looking at the viability of continuing to support the NSW State Off road Championship.
Despite our best efforts the cost of preparation and running the event is not being adequately covered and therefore a decision will be made by the Committee in the following week as to whether Nabiac will host a round in 2016 and beyond.
We have and appreciate a loyal group of competitors that have stuck with us through our evolution of our event, through thick and thin you guys have been fantastic.
So I suppose the ball is in your court, as I'm typing this we are sitting at 20 entries and Toby will post the updated list sometime today. But for the event to be considered "viable" we are going to have to hit near enough to a full field.
Facilities like what we have at Nabiac are few and far between, we own the land the club and track is on, it's a licenced Motorsport Venue and has been that way for 61 years.
I believe that if the club decides to not support the Nabiac Airport Challenge in 2016, Off Roading will never get up and running there again.
